Harmony & Horses
RIDE TO A BRAND NEW BEAT
With the spirit of the horse and inspirational vibes, this program is packed with powerful education and healing! Open to ages 7-18 and serving children with Autism, ADHD, those suffering from depression, anxiety, and PTSD.
During the session participants receive 60 minutes of equine assisted learning. Equine activities include all horsemanship skills such as grooming, bathing and walking horses through our sensory obstacle courses and trails. On sunny days, we allow time up in the saddle and give beginning level riding instruction.
Students have the opportunity to play musical instruments such as guitar or ukulele for the horses and our instructor will at times play songs while the session is in progress. Participants can also learn and sing along to "My Happy Place", our theme song filled with lyrics all about riding to a brand new beat and the joy of being at the ranch with horses!
Inspired by Anthony
I'll never forget the day I met Awesome Anthony who has Autism! I just happened to be volunteering at my favorite horse rescue ranch, ERAF when he arrived with a group of special needs kids. We somehow just immediately clicked as if I had known him my whole life. Within minutes of walking around the ranch and showing him the horses, he reached out and held onto my arm as if I was his safety net. It was and still is today such an incredible feeling of inspirational joy! I thank God for blessing me with the privilege of getting to spend time with Anthony to teach him about two of the things I love most, horses and music!
Anthony is the inspiration that led me to become a certified PATH, Equine Specialist in Mental Health Learning and develop our "Harmony & Horses" program. He is still enrolled in our program today and every week he continues to bring light into my life. I couldn't be more proud of how far he has come and I'm blown away every time I see him up in the saddle or playing notes on his keyboards! Thank you ERAF for allowing us to partner with your rescue horses and trusting in me and thank you Anthony for being Awesome!
- Kristi Huddleston
The first time I met Kristi I knew she was someone special. From the start, she and my son Anthony formed a bond, and it was clear how comfortable he was with her. Kristi is incredibly understanding and accepting of Anthony’s disability and unique needs. She recognizes his potential for learning and gives him encouragement to achieve his goals. Kristi takes the time to teach him new tasks step-by-step and exhibits tremendous patience with him. He always looks forward to his lessons and to working with her and the horses. I will be forever grateful for the opportunities Kristi and Harmony and Horses have given to Anthony to broaden his horizons.

Our programs are designed as a monthly membership. We believe to gain all the true benefits of music and equine therapy it cannot be achieved in a single session. We want to see long term results and have limited space available to accept new students into our programs.
Harmony Hope Stables sits amongst 5 gorgeous acres and is filled with a sense of peace and serenity. We do not overbook too many clients on the property at one time and will not overwork our incredible horse partners.
Our first step is a phone consultation, intake application, and assessment forms being filled out. We can then book a meet and greet at HH Stables to insure our program will be a good fit for the participant. After accepting a new child, we develop an IEP plan and provide beginning, mid-year and end of year evaluations.
